The Problem of Modern "Orthodoxy"

He (The Modern Orthodox) appeals to secular philosophy and finds value in it to the extent that he cites it as a secondary Torah, this was not the approach of the Sages, not the Rambam nor any other, to the words of external literature.

He frequently disputes Divrei Kabbalah (not just mysticism but Mesorah in general) and frequently brings novelty interpretations into Torah or the words of Chazal that aren’t found to be present in any Mesorah after them.

He rejects the harmonization of Divrei Torah, and will allege that there are Machlokesos in places where there are objectively none, for the sole reason of trying to disunite the words of the Chachomim. He will even do so with Chazal, even though we have a set Mesorah on the number of Machlokesos that Chazal had stam. Why does he do so? It is because he is trying to make the Torah appear as multiple Toros, instead of one Torah. I. E. That the Mesorah is not specific, and that there was little to no consensus between them regarding Divrei Kabbalah. His motivation is to make his deviant beliefs appear as acceptable in relation to theology or his understanding of the Torah appear as Orthodox, when it is not.

They will even accuse Chazal of holding to things that contradict the 13 principles, when saying such a thing deserves the death penalty, and is manifestly false and disprovable.

Regarding theology, there is almost no Machlokes to be found Bein Am Yisroel with minor exception, and these exceptions are only on precise and very specific matters that exist within such a small Katoneh of much larger matters.

He will say that Chazal ONLY had the authority to transmit Halacha. What they say about anything else, Aggadah, or non-Halakhic interpretations of the Torah, ARE NOT authoritative. This is Kfirah. He will focus everything that isn’t Halakhic into Aggadah, a manifestly false categorical error. This is refuted easily by multiple different Maamrei Chazal which tell us to obey every letter of Torah (1)

In Halakha, Midrashim AND Aggadah. Secondly, we see that Chazal’s method of understanding Aggadah is inseparable from Halakha. We learn this in the 32 Middos on Aggadah transmitted by the Son of R’ Yosei HaGelili.


The Rationalist, because of his nature, is frequently a science cuck. So instead of learning the different nuances of Torah and Divrei Chachomim and seeing the oneness in their statements, he will study and hold by secular sciences even more than he holds by the 13 principles. He will always seek to harmonize the made up lies of modern scientists with the Torah. Instead of showing how the lies of modern scientists are fallacious and erroneous, as proven many times, he will go out of his way to nullify the thirteen principles and even deem them invalid, or reinterpret them to fit his needs. Harmonizing something like evolution with the Torah is not harmony at al. It is rather trying to weave a tumor into a perfectly healthy person. It is a contradiction and logically impossible to have occurred.
